Name: El Diablo Rojo
Breed: Quarter-horse
Age: 2
I got Diablo in August of 2003. He and his "brother" were in real sad shape. My co-worker took me and another friend to go see them, and their situation looked desperate. Every bone in their body was visible. At that time Diablo was a year and a half and a mere 465 lbs and 13.1 hands tall. I ended up taking Diablo and my coworker kept the other horse. Diablo now weighs 758lbs and 14.2 hands tall! It took about a month for me to gain his trust enough to be able to walk up to him and another month for me to be able to groom him. The hooves were a completely different story, which took a lot of patience and sweat! Now he is the most loveable horse at the stable. Presently I am in the middle of breaking him to wear a saddle, and he does let us ride him as long as someone is leading him. I am so happy at the progress he has made.

Name: Katie's Ace in the Hole
Breed: Appaloosa
Age: 2
A couple that stables their horses next to mine kept telling me that they had an appaloosa that I would love. They had heard stories of an Appaloosa that I loved dearly as a child. They told me about him for a few months. Finally the day came that the brought him to the stables to try and find a good home for a minimal fee. He was there for a month, and I was told that they would have to do something with him. They just couldn’t afford the groceries on a horse that was not theirs. After thinking about it for a month, then taking Michael to meet him to and learn his personality, Michael said I could get him: December of 2004. Ace’s original name was Taz he was Seized by the Houston SPCA, and returned to the breeder. He was seized due to neglect. When I got him he was 495 13.2 hands tall, and is now 698 and 14.0 hands tall. He is a very high spirited horse with a high intelligence. He knows how to open his stall door, and follows people around like a lost puppy. His favorite game is to pull on Diablo’s harness when they are running in the field. He is 30days green broke, and is at a stand still until I can get someone to finish the job, or wait until I medically can.
